US Medical Workers – level 3

A report says that between 10% and 20% of COVID-19 cases in the US are health care workers. About 9,300 health care professionals had tested positive for the respiratory illness between February 12 and April 9.
Most of these cases were not severe enough to require hospitalization; however, 27 people died from the coronavirus.
The report also says that 73% of the positive cases were women, and their average age was 42. This data probably underestimates the number of people in the medical field who were struck by the virus. The reason is that only in 16% of cases, people reported their occupations.
The report concluded that protecting the health and safety of medical personnel is critical, and that reporting occupation should be a common procedure in all coronavirus cases.
