Houston Bar Explosion – level 2
17-06-2020 07:00
On Friday at 5 am, a bar exploded in Houston, US. The bar closed at 11 pm the night before. Luckily, no people were in the bar when the explosion happened. Officials did not report any injuries.
However, the explosion was very strong, and it destroyed a nearby food truck. People who lived near the bar said that the explosion broke home windows and it moved walls.
Officials do not know what caused the explosion; however, it seems that gas exploded in the bar.
The bar was closed for more than one year, and the owner renovated it. A few months ago, the bar opened again.
Difficult words: injury (when somebody gets hurt), cause (to make something happen), renovate (to repair and make something look new again).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
