Sri Lanka does not have enough fuel. The government wants to change the tuk-tuks to electric ones.

Tuk tuks are like taxis. They are very important in Sri Lanka. The United Nations is helping to make this happen. They want to change 500,000 tuk-tuks to electric cars in five years. This is a big task. It will have three steps. The first step is to try the change on 200 tuk-tuks. Then, they will give help to people to change more tuk-tuks. Finally, they will help people to buy new electric cars.

The government wants to help the people who use tuk-tuks. It will also help the country and the natural world.

Difficult words: fuel (gas), tuk tuk (a car with three wheels), step (a specific action).
