Sweden prepares for war – level 2

NATO begins its largest military exercises, Operation Steadfast Defender, across Europe. It includes Sweden, although Sweden is not a member of NATO.
In response to possible conflict with Russia, Swedish schools explain to children how to be ready for war. OA Lind, a teacher, incorporates news programs and she discusses emergency plans with students. She hopes that it will make children less scared. But social media bring negative news, and more people call helplines.
The government says that it is necessary to warn people so that they are ready in case a conflict starts. NATO sees Sweden as a model for other countries, saying that it is important to get ready for war in Europe.
