Alexei Navalny is a strong critic of Russian President Putin. Navalny goes to prison for many years. The prison is in the north of Russia. It is very cold there.

Navalny fights against bad things in Russia. Many people believe in better times. Last week, Navalny dies. Leaders in the West say that Putin is responsible for Navalny’s death. Now, without Navalny, there is no other strong person. Nobody fights against the government.

Navalny’s death makes many people sad. They want things to change. It is hard to speak out against strong people like Putin. Russian officials do not say why Navalny dies. Some people believe that Navally does not die naturally.

Difficult words: critic (a person who openly says negative things about someone or something), responsible (to have control over something), naturally (in a normal way).
