The creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama, passed away at the age of 68.

Dragon Ball was on TV 40 years ago and it became a big hit worldwide. There were cartoons as well as films. Toriyama’s work influenced the manga genre and inspired creations like Naruto and One Piece. Dragon Ball’s popularity increased internationally, and there were adaptations in many countries and languages.

Toriyama introduced manga to people around the world. He had an impact not only on TV and cartoons but also on art and even politics. Through Dragon Ball, Toriyama spread Japanese culture globally, and his impact will continue.
