In 2019, a big fire damages Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. Since then, people work hard to fix it.

There are many problems, for example, delays and changes in leading the project. But now, the work is almost at its end. There is a new spire with a golden rooster and a cross. Workers also fix an organ. They change the windows.

Many people believe that Notre Dame will open again by the end of 2024. It will be an important moment for the cathedral and French people.

Difficult words: delay (when something happens later than it should), spire (a tall narrow structure, usually in a church), rooster (a male chicken).
