More US help for Ukraine – level 2

The US Congress finally passed a large aid package for countries like Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.
The total amount is 95 billion dollars, and it will help solve these nations’ problems. After months of delay, both the Senate and the House of Representatives agreed on four bills. They put them into one big package. US President Joe Biden will sign it into law soon. The help includes military support for Ukraine and money to fight against China’s power in the Indo-Pacific region.
Although politicians didn’t agree on all things, they all said that it was important to support their friends and democracy.
Difficult words: aid package (money, things, or services sent to other countries or organizations as a form of help), bill (an idea which a parliament talks about and can make a law), democracy (a system of government in which elected people are at power).
