Young people in India cannot find a job – level 1
13-05-2024 15:00
India is the world’s biggest democracy. There are elections now. Indians vote to choose people for jobs in politics.
The elections are in different parts. There are too many people. All people must have a chance to vote. There are seven parts altogether. The elections end on June 1st. A big problem is that many young people do not have jobs. India has 1.4 billion people. Half of them are under 30 years old.
The Prime Minister is in power since 2014. He says that he will get new jobs. But it does not happen. He wants to be the boss for the third time. But will Indians believe him again?
Difficult words: democracy (the system when people of a country vote to choose leaders), altogether (completely, in total), Prime Minister (the leader of a government).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
