A new school opens in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The school is underground. It keeps children safe. It’s the first underground school in Ukraine.

The school is important for children. They do not need to have online classes. They can meet with their teachers and friends. And they are safe. The school is 6 meters under the ground. The entrance is a small white box. The classrooms are bright. But they have no windows. Kharkiv is near Russia. Russia attacks the city many times.

The school has 300 students now. It will have 900 students in September. The Mayor says that this school helps children live normal lives. Many children wear traditional Ukrainian shirts on the first day.
