People in Denmark trust each other – level 1

09-10-2024 07:00

In Denmark, people trust each other a lot. You can borrow a kayak for free in Copenhagen if you clean trash from the water. This idea comes from Tobias Weber-Anderson. He wants to keep the city clean.

People bring back the kayaks because they know trust is important.

At the Human Library, you can talk to someone about their life. Ronnie Auel starts this to help people understand each other better.

In a bakery, people buy bread without a cashier. They take the bread, count the price, and pay online. The owner trusts people to pay for what they take, and it works. People in Denmark respect each other. They try to do what is right.

Difficult words: trust (to believe that someone will be honest), trash (things which people throw away), cashier (a person who gets money from people in a shop, restaurant, and so on).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

Who is the initiator of the idea to borrow a kayak for free in Copenhagen in exchange for cleaning trash from the water?
