Fighting in Iran stops for two weeks – level 2
13-04-2026 07:00
President Donald Trump agreed to stop fighting with Iran for two weeks. Before this, Trump warned that a whole civilization might die, but he changed his mind just before a military deadline.
The deal says that ships must be able to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, a very important water path for oil. But the peace is fragile because attacks are still happening in the region. In Europe, the leader of NATO visited Washington to talk to Trump about the future of NATO. Some experts believe that the US may leave NATO.
Also, US Vice President JD Vance came to Hungary to support Viktor Orbán before an election. He told the media that the EU is trying to hurt Hungary’s economy. Some people are worried about Orbán’s friendly relationship with Russia.
Difficult words: civilization (a large group of people living together with their own laws, culture, and history), deadline (a specific time or date by which you must finish or start something), fragile (something that is easily broken or damaged).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
Which Hungarian leader did JD Vance visit to support before an election?
