There are more wars than you know – level 1

27-04-2026 15:00

There are many wars in the world today. But we only see some wars in the news. Many wars are far away. People do not see them. But the fighting does not stop. People in these places need our help. We must not look at just some places.

The media choose the news every day. They think that people only want to see things similar to their lives. Many people do not watch the news because it is very sad. But we need to know what happens to other people. It is important to see the truth about every country.

We can help if we know more. The media must show us that people in wars are just like us. They have homes and families. If we see their lives, we want to help more. Every person is important.

Difficult words: news (information about what happens around us), media (TV, radio, internet, and so on), truth (the real information about a situation).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What reason does the author give for why the media choose to report only certain wars each day?
