40 years since Chernobyl disaster

Forty years ago, a big power plant in Chernobyl explodes. It is a very bad accident. Many people die. The air is not safe.

This week, people in Ukraine remember the workers who help clean the area after the disaster. They are called liquidators. It is a very sad day for the whole world. Now, President Zelenskyy is worried. He says that there is a new problem. Russian drones are flying near the old power plant. One Russian drone hits the building last year. This is very dangerous.

The war is still happening. Many drones attack Ukraine. Ukraine wants everyone to be safe. They want the fighting to stop near the nuclear plants. If not, another accident can happen.

Difficult words: power plant (a large building or place where people make electricity), accident (something bad what happens), disaster (a very bad event which hurts many people).
