Uganda’s law about foreign money – level 1
11-05-2026 07:00
There is a new law in Uganda. This law is about money from other countries. The government wants to know who gets this money. They may call these people foreign agents.
Some people are very angry. They say that the government wants to stop people from talking or complaining. One man who drives a taxi is afraid. He says that if money from other countries stops, he will not have work. Then his family will have no money for food.
Some people say that the law is okay. The government should watch the money. But many groups say that the law is bad for business. People will not be free. Everyone is waiting to see if the law will be there or not.
Difficult words: foreign (from another country), agent (a person who works for somebody else), complain (to say that you are not happy with something).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What effect does the taxi driver fear the loss of foreign funding will have on his family?
