Teenagers run inside Scientology buildings – level 2

11-05-2026 15:00

Many teenagers in Vancouver, Canada, recently tried to run into a Scientology building. This is a new challenge on the internet. The idea is to run inside, see as much as possible, and record it on video before security catches you.

The Church of Scientology is unhappy and says this is not a joke; it is a crime and bothers people who are there to visit. An expert on religions says that young people do this because Scientology seems mysterious. In movies and the news, they often say that it is a secret and powerful group. This makes it feel like something special to the teens.

The expert also says that people would be angrier if it happened in a church or mosque. While some people think the videos are funny, the church is worried that these things could lead to attacks and crime.

Difficult words: joke (something what makes people laugh), bother (to cause someone trouble), mysterious (strange and difficult to understand).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What reason does the expert on religions give for why young people are drawn to running into a Scientology building?
