Screens and AI toys hurt children – level 1

12-06-2026 15:00

A famous psychologist gives us three rules to make children safe with technologies. People need other people to feel happy and safe.

Many years ago, children start using smartphones. They do not play outside with their friends. This is a big problem because children need to talk, have fun, and walk together. Because they are always online, many young people feel very lonely and sad. They watch too many short videos. They cannot look at a book or watch a long film.

These things can save our children. First, do not let children use social media before they are 16 years old. Second, schools should use real books and pens, not computers and tablets. Children learn from people, not from screens. Also, do not give children AI toys or robots which talk like friends. These machines do not care about children. They can hurt the love between a child and a parent.

Difficult words: psychologist (an expert who studies people’s minds, thinking, and acting), rule (what you must or must not do), lonely (unhappy because you are alone).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
