Tourists can finally see the Parthenon – level 2
23-06-2026 07:00
The famous Parthenon in Greece is finally finished after a long restoration. Restorers took away all the construction tools, metal frames, and scaffolding from the western side.
Now, people can see the temple in its most complete form in over 200 years. Many tourists are very excited and happy about this change. Visitors who came last year remember a lot of building work, which blocked the beautiful view.
Now, the temple is clean and open. People can look at it from close by or from far away. Travelers say the Acropolis looks amazing and very beautiful without the construction things in front of it. It helps them imagine how the great building looked like a long time ago.
Difficult words: restoration (repairing an old building, painting, or object), scaffolding (a structure which workers use to repair a building), temple (a special building where people go to show respect to their god or gods).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
