Israeli yacht saves migrants – level 2
27-10-2015 07:00
A yacht of an Israeli navigation school was on a training near the Turkish coast when it discovered a man in the sea.
People then rescued eleven Syrian and Iraqi migrants. Among those saved from the sea was a mother. She was carrying the body of her dead six-month-old baby in her arms.
The migrants said that three of their group were missing – a pregnant woman and two men.
Difficult words: yacht (a large boat for fun or sport), coast (the area where the land meets the sea), rescue (to save).
You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
