Giraffe has new friends – level 1

A giraffe is born at a zoo in California. He is born on January 8th. The giraffe is ill. Vets help him. They help him for 39 days.

It looked serious, but the giraffe got better. The young giraffe is now fine. He plays with his new friends.

There are 13 giraffes at the zoo. These giraffes are from Uganda. They are endangered.

Difficult words: ill (he is sick), vet (doctor for animals), endangered (there are only a few of these animals left in the world, so they get protection).
