This news is from northern Colombia. Lightning killed 11 people in a small village. The incident happened early in the morning.
It injured many people and later people evacuated them by military helicopter to hospital. The government said that it would send a rescue team to the site. There have been small tragedies from flashes of lightning in the past but nothing of this magnitude.
Difficult words: lightning (when there’s electricity between a cloud and the ground), tragedy (when something bad or sad happens), magnitude (size).
