Thai police find a camp – level 2
05-05-2015 15:00
Thai police discovered an abandoned trafficking camp in a jungle. They found two bodies and more than 30 graves. They rescued one survivor and took him to hospital.
The bodies and graves probably belonged to migrants from Myanmar and Bangladesh. This showed how brutal the trafficking trade is.
Every year, thousands of migrants come to Thailand. Smugglers bring them in and treat them terribly.
Difficult words: abandoned (without people), traffic (to trade something illegal), smuggler (a person who smuggles something – moves it from one country to another illegally).
You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
