Future Cars at CES – level 2

The CES is the Consumer Electronic Show. It ran in Las Vegas from the 5th to the 8th January, 2017. A big part of the show was about cars. Some cars can detect emotion, or are self-driving or have voice control.

Honda’s car has a digital assistant named HANA who can detect the driver’s emotions. If you are happy, it can play happy music. If you are stressed, it may choose other music. The Honda car can also drive itself. When you do not need the car, other people can use it and you can make money.

The Oasis concept car is another car and it is voice controlled and has a small garden in the dashboard.

Difficult words: detect (identify), concept car (a car which you cannot buy; a car which shows what future cars can look like), dashboard (the area in front of the driver).
