Elon Musk becomes the world’s first trillionaire – level 3

17-06-2026 07:00

Elon Musk’s company SpaceX has just entered the stock market, which made him the first dollar trillionaire in human history. Musk has built a massive business empire that goes from PayPal and Tesla electric cars to Starlink satellites and AI.

However, his extreme wealth brings huge political power and big arguments around the world. In the US, he spent 300 million dollars helping Donald Trump win a second presidential term and received a job in the White House. In Europe, his social media platform X is criticized for spreading extreme political ideas and dangerous AI-generated images.

Some people believe Musk is a great visionary who wants to build colonies on Mars, while others worry that our democracies cannot safely control one single man with so much money and influence.

Difficult words: empire (a huge group of powerful companies, businesses, or lands controlled by one single person or government), visionary (a person who has smart, creative, and big ideas about what the future could look like), colony (a new place or city where a group of people goes to live, far away from their original home).

You can watch the video news lower on this page.

Considering that Musk's empire includes PayPal, Tesla electric cars, Starlink satellites and AI, that he spent 300 million dollars helping Donald Trump win a second presidential term and received a job in the White House, and that in Europe his social media platform X is criticized for spreading extreme political ideas and dangerous AI-generated images, do you see him as a visionary who wants to build colonies on Mars or as a threat to democracies that cannot safely control one man with so much money and influence?
