Macron tells people to be quiet – level 1
20-05-2026 07:00
The president of France, Emmanuel Macron, is at a big meeting in Kenya.
During the meeting, the people in the room are talking and making a lot of noise. The speakers on the stage cannot talk. President Macron stands up and stops the meeting. He tells the crowd that they are not polite. It is rude to speak while somebody else is speaking. Macron tells the noisy people to go outside if they want to talk. He says that people inside must be quiet and listen.
Macron goes to Kenya to meet with leaders and businesspeople. They want to make friends and work together.
Difficult words: noise (a loud, bad sound), stage (the area where speakers or actors stand), crowd (many people in one place).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
