North Korea sends balloons to South Korea

South Korea says that North Korea sends many balloons with trash and animal poop over their border. They called this mean and dangerous.

The sister of North Korea’s leader says that the balloons are gifts for South Koreans. They want to be free. South Korean soldiers come to check and pick up the balloons. People nearby must stay away. They must tell the authorities if they see any balloons. By Wednesday afternoon, soldiers find more than 260 balloons.

An official in South Korea said North Korea wants to see their reaction. But they will stay calm. North Korea now plans to send many more balloons to South Korea.
