Plastic Bags – level 1

The German government wants people to use less plastic. From 2016, people use fewer plastic bags. Now, the government is working on new laws.

These laws are going to ban plastic bags. The EU wants to do this in 2021. The New York state in the USA wants to do this next year.

Difficult words: government (the “bosses” of a country), law (an official document which tells people what they can and cannot do), ban (make illegal – people must not sell or buy something).
