Atlantis hotels are famous and nice hotels. In 2008, the first Atlantis hotel opens in Dubai. A big party happens. Singer Kylie Minogue sings in front of many famous people. Fireworks for the party cost 5 million dollars.

Last week, a second Atlantis hotel opens in Dubai. It is called Atlantis the Royal.

Beyonce sings at the event. Reports say that she gets 24 million dollars for her performance.

Palm Jumeirah is an island. It looks like a palm tree. Big fireworks are above the island.

The hotel has nearly 800 rooms. Seven bars and restaurants are in the hotel. Guests can go to many gyms and spas. One night at the hotel costs from 1,000 to 100,000 dollars.

Difficult words: fireworks (bright colored displays in the sky), performance (when a person sings or plays in front of other people), spa (a place where people can take a bath get a massage, or go in a sauna).
