In 2008, Dubai’s first Atlantis hotel opened with fireworks which cost 5 million dollars. Singer Kylie Minogue performed at the party for the most famous people in the world.
Two months later, Dubai started to have money problems, but now, a second Atlantis hotel is opening. It is called Atlantis the Royal. Singer Beyonce performed for a reported 24 million dollars, and she gave her first performance since 2020. Fireworks lit the sky above the island of Palm Jumeirah.
The hotel will open on February 10, 2023, with nearly 800 rooms, seven bars and restaurants, 90 pools, gyms, and spas. One night at Atlantis The Royal will cost from 1,000 to 100,000 dollars.
