Every year, Google makes a list of top searches. It tells us what information people search on the internet the most.
In 2023, people around the world want to know about Hamas. They search for things like ‘war in Israel and Gaza’, ‘what is Hamas’, or ‘what is happening in Israel’. Other top searches include incidents such as the Titan submersible accident and the Turkey-Syria. The list includes the most important events and people, like Damar Hamlin’s NFL game injury, actor Matthew Perry’s death, and popular figures like Jeremy Renner and Andrew Tate.
With movies, ‘Barbie’ and ‘Oppenheimer’ are among the most popular searches.
Difficult words: submersible (a small boat which scientists often use), injury (when you get hurt), figure (a person).
