World’s highest railway bridge – level 1
16-08-2024 07:00
India builds a very high bridge for trains. It is the highest bridge in the world.
This bridge will connect Kashmir to the rest of India by train for the first time. The bridge is 1.3 km long and 359 meters tall. It is even taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This railway is important because it can help move soldiers and things. It will also help farmers in Kashmir who grow fruits. Sometimes, they cannot use bad roads. They cannot sell their fruits. The new train can take the fruits to other parts of India.
More tourists may also visit Kashmir because of the train. But there are still problems in the area which can stop some good things.
Difficult words: railway (rails along which trains run), soldier (a person who fights when there is a war), tourist (a person who travels for fun).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What are the benefits of the new bridge and railway for farmers in Kashmir?
