In Mallorca, some areas ban alcohol since May.

If people break the rules, they can get a fine of up to 1,500 Euros. Luis lives in the area for 25 years. He says that the noise from tourists is terrible, much worse than some years ago. Shops must stop selling alcohol by 9:30 PM. But some shops do not follow the rules. Groups of local people want the rules to be stronger. Tourists still drink and make noise. These tourists are mainly from Germany. Many people want to move away because of this.

There are some changes, like making hotel stays longer and more expensive. But the problem is still there. People say that authorities must make people and shops follow the rules.

Difficult words: ban (to not allow something), fine (money which you must pay for breaking a rule), local (living or existing in an area).
