Despite the government crackdown, the situation remains challenging. Local shops must stop selling alcohol by 9:30 PM, but enforcement seems inconsistent. Neighborhood associations are actively pushing for stricter enforcement of the rules. The persistent noise and disorder, often caused by tourists who drink heavily, continue to affect residents’ quality of life. Many locals are considering leaving the area if the situation doesn’t improve.

Even though there have been efforts to attract more respectful tourists, such as raising hotel prices and imposing a minimum stay, the problem persists, which leads to increased tension between locals and tourists.
