Margot is a mix of a pit bull and an American bulldog. She is alone in a parking lot. People find her and take her to a shelter.

Julia Zupan sees her picture on Facebook. She wants to meet the dog. When they meet, Julia decides to take her home. They are very close. Recently, Margot wins a contest. She becomes the World’s Cutest Rescue Dog. There are 7,000 dogs in the contest. Julia does not expect to win.

Julia gets 1,000 dollars and free dog food for one year. But she gives both back to the shelter to help other animals. Julia and Margot celebrate by visiting a place where Margot can run and play.

Difficult words: shelter (a safe place), contest (a game to choose a winner), expect (to think or believe that something will happen).
