Mbappé has problems at Real Madrid – level 3
13-05-2026 07:00
Kylian Mbappé is facing a difficult time at Real Madrid. Even though he has scored 85 goals in two seasons, a massive online petition has appeared calling for the club to sell him.
The petition reportedly has over 30 million signatures, though experts say many of these might be bots because 30 million is a large portion of Spain’s population. Fans are unhappy for several reasons. First, Real Madrid is struggling and likely won’t win any major trophies this season, while their rivals, Barcelona, are doing very well. Second, while Mbappé was injured, he was seen on a luxury holiday in Sardinia with his girlfriend, which fans felt showed a lack of focus on the club. Some experts also believe that having both Mbappé and Vinícius Jr. in the same team makes the lineup unbalanced. There are even rumors that if José Mourinho becomes the next manager, he might not tolerate Mbappé’s lifestyle and ego.
Difficult words: massive (very, very large), bot (a computer program that works automatically, often used to pretend to be a real person on the internet), rumor (a story that is told from person to person but might not be true).
