Big protests in Bolivia – level 1
02-06-2026 15:00
There are big protests in Bolivia. They start one month ago. Many people are blocking the roads. It happens at 60 places now.
Because of this, big cities do not have food, gas, or medicine. People are very cold. They wait for days to buy fuel for their cars. Many people are angry with the President. They want him to leave his job today. They do not want to talk to him. They say that he does not do what he says. He does not help poor people.
The President becomes the leader last October. Now, the situation is very bad. The president wants to send soldiers into the streets. He wants to stop the people and open the roads.
Difficult words: block(to close a road or a place to stop people or things from passing), fuel (a substance which you burn to get energy for cars or machines), poor (when you have very little money).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What shortages are big cities facing because of the road blockages?
