22-04-2015 15:00
In March 2014, something horrible happens to a woman in Columbia. Someone throws acid in her face. The acid burns her and she says that it is like she has no identity and that it is like being between life and death.
Now, she wants to help other people who are also victims of an acid attacks. She is making a foundation to help them. She is also asking for people who make this attack to go to jail for up to 40 years. She also wants to make it more difficult to buy chemicals that could be used in the attack.
Difficult words: foundation (organisation that helps people), victim (a person who has something very bad happen to him or her), chemicals (liquids that we use in chemistry).
You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
