Two Hollywood actors, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, would like to invest in a Welsh football club.

Wrexham AFC was founded in 1864, which makes it the third oldest professional football team in the world. Their pitch is the oldest international football ground that is in use. The actors had a meeting with the group of the club owners, and the owners were excited to start business.

In recent years, it has become more common that actors or sports stars buy sports clubs. In 2016, ’The Office’ star, Mindy Kaling, invested in Swansea City. Swansea City is a Welsh professional football club, and Kaling owns a big part of it.

Difficult words: invest (to put money into a business to make more money in the future), pitch (a football ground), in use (when people use something).
