Baby One-Horned Rhino – level 1

At the Chester Zoo, a rare rhino is born. It is a one-horned rhino calf. It is born in 20 minutes. It weighs 60 kilogrammes. People can see the calf later on.

The healthy baby is going to help its type of rhino. This type of rhino is in a breeding programme. The zoo is also working in Asia to help this rhino.

Difficult words: rare (if an animal is rare, there are not many of them), calf (a baby animal such as a rhino or a cow), breeding programme (a way to help animals make and have babies).
