Organizers stopped the Euro 2024 qualifier match between Belgium and Sweden after a terrorist attack in Brussels.

A video showed a man who claimed to belong to the Islamic State.  He shot two people wearing Sweden shirts. When the Swedish players heard about the attack, they decided not to continue the game. The score was 1-1 when the match stopped after the first half. The Swedish coach and captain ensured the players’ safety, and he said that they felt secure.

Belgium was already in the Euro 2024 finals, and Sweden couldn’t qualify after a draw between Austria and Azerbaijan.

Difficult words: qualifier match (a match to decide who goes to the next stage of a tournament), ensure (to make sure that something will happen), draw (when a game ends with the same score for both teams or players).
