Biggest Wave Surfed – level 2
03-05-2018 07:00
Brazilian surfer Rodrigo Koxa surfed a 24-metre wave in Portugal and set a new world record. The wave was so big that it is very hard to even see the surfer in the video!
Later, people honoured the surfer for his achievement at the Quicksilver XXL Big Wave Awards. When he got the award, he told people to keep believing in their dreams.
Meanwhile, British surfer Andrew Cotton won the ‘award’ for Biggest Wipeout of the Year.
Difficult words: honour (show respect to somebody for doing something difficult), award (an event where people are honoured, shown respect for doing something), wipeout (a fall from surfboard).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
