Bin Bag Dress – level 2

Nicolle Flint is an Australian politician. Last week, she posted a video on social media in which she wore a bin bag or a trash bag.
The video was a reaction to a newspaper article about her. In the article, a journalist criticized her work; however, more surprising were his comments on Flint’s clothes. The journalist wrote about Flint’s jewelry, as well as high heels and different colors of her blazers. Flint called his comments ’sexist garbage’, and she wore a bin bag instead of her usual clothes.
Flint said that it was more important what women thought rather than what they wore. She also said that she was tired of sexist comments about her.
Difficult words: criticize (to say what is wrong with someone or something), sexist (when someone says bad things about men or women because they are men or women), garbage (things that we do not need and that we throw away).
