Blue forest – level 2
30-04-2021 15:00
In Belgium, there is a special forest south of Brussels which thousands of people visit every spring to see bluebells. Bluebells bloom around mid-April and they look like a blue carpet.
This year is different, and officials asked people to stay at home because they worry about the spread of the coronavirus. Authorities limited the number of visitors, they closed parking lots, and canceled buses.
Some people still visited the forest and they admired its beauty. A woman said that she was happy that she could go to the forest. She had her mask with her and if she met some people, she put the mask on. She said that going to nature made her feel better in the time when it was not possible to visit restaurants or bars.
Difficult words: bluebell (a small blue plant which often grows in forests and its flowers look like small bells), bloom (to make flowers), admire (to like something very much).
