Chelsea Manning was an intelligence analyst for the US army who leaked over 700,000 secret documents. She served 7 out of 35 years in jail.

Recently, she filed her statement of candidacy to run for the US senate in the state of Maryland. She hopes that her past will not stop her plans.

Difficult words: intelligence analyst (a person who analyses information to find out what can happen in the future), leak (reveal information), statement of candidacy (when a person says that he or she will run for a political position).
