Children stop a bus – level 1
05-05-2026 15:00
Young students in Mississippi do something great. Their school bus driver gets very sick. She cannot drive. The bus is on a big road with 40 children inside.
Two boys act fast. One boy holds the steering wheel. The other one stops the bus. No one is hurt. Other children help too. One girl calls for help on the phone. Another girl gives the driver her medicine.
The driver says that the children save her life. The school is very proud of them. The students will go on a fun trip and have a nice lunch.
Difficult words: act (to do something, usually to solve a problem), steering wheel (the round part of a car which the driver uses to turn), proud (when you feel happy because somebody does something great).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What actions did the students take to keep everyone safe after their bus driver became sick?
