Chuck Norris dies – level 3

27-03-2026 07:00

Chuck Norris, an American legend and martial arts icon, has passed away at the age of 86.

He was hospitalized in Hawaii following a medical emergency. Just days before, he had celebrated his birthday in great spirits, even joking on social media that he doesn’t age; he levels up.

His family released a touching statement describing him as a symbol of strength and a devoted family man. While many know him from his famous role in Walker, Texas Ranger or his numerous action movies, his career actually began in the US Air Force, where he started his martial arts training. Chuck Norris was a six-time undefeated karate champion and a black belt in seven different disciplines.

He was not only a movie star but also a respected teacher who coached many other actors. He leaves behind a lasting impact as a patriot, and a beloved cultural figure who inspired millions.

Difficult words: icon (a person who is very famous and represents a particular idea, style, or group of people), devoted (having great love for someone and spending a lot of time and energy supporting them), patriot (a person who loves their country very much).

In which branch of the U.S. military did Chuck Norris begin his martial arts training, and how many times did he win the karate championship?
