Crime in Sweden – level 2

Two crowns and an orb were on display in a cathedral in a town in Sweden. The artefacts are over 400 years old, and King Karl IX and his wife Kristina used them.

Unfortunately, two thieves stole the artefacts. People saw them getting away on a boat, and now the police are looking for them from helicopters and from boats.

Difficult words: crown (a king’s or queen’s very expensive, special ‘hat’), orb (a golden round thing which kings hold), artefact (a historically important thing).
