Dead migrants in a truck – level 1

In Texas, US, people find a truck. It has 50 dead bodies inside. It is near the border with Mexico.
The event is terrible. The dead people are migrants from Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras. A few people are still alive. They must go to hospital.
No water and no air-conditioning are inside the truck. On that day, the weather is 40 degrees Celsius outside. Police arrest three people. They don’t know yet if they did anything bad.
These events happen often. Mexico’s officials say that criminals must not illegally buy or sell people. Other officials also want to control the border better.
Difficult words: border (the line between two countries), migrant (a person who moves from one country to another), air-conditioning (a machine to make a place cold).
