Derek Chauvin, the ex-Minneapolis police officer found guilty in George Floyd’s death, reportedly faced an attack in an Arizona prison.

First reports said that someone stabbed and seriously hurt Chauvin. The attack happened at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tucson where Chauvin is serving 21 and 22 and a half years in prison. The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed the incident and said that employees took quick life-saving actions, and took the injured inmate to a hospital.

George Floyd’s 2020 death started global protests against police brutality and racism. Chauvin, a white officer, kneeled on Floyd’s neck for over 9 minutes.
