Earthquake in Taiwan – level 3

On Tuesday night, a 6.4 earthquake hit Taiwan’s east coast, killing 16 people and injuring hundreds.

Buildings were destroyed and cracks appeared in the roads, affecting electricity and water supplies. A hotel building’s ground floor even caved in, trapping several people.

Rescuers continue to search for survivors under the destroyed buildings.
